What kind of nutrient deficiencies are related with fatigue?

Australia

That is a very broad question. Basically every nutrient deficiency can cause fatigue. You have to distinguish between different types of fatigue, too: There is the more or less “common tiredness” and a severe disease called “Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)” which leaves the patients really exhausted. A lot of other diseases like cancer, multiple sclerosis, allergies and even diabetes, depression and low blood pressure provoke fatigue also.

In regard to nutrients, the most prevalent to cause fatigue is iron. Iron is required for the formation of haemoglobin in red blood cells, which transport oxygen around the body. A lack of iron leads to low iron stores in the body and eventually to iron deficiency anaemia. Iron deficiency anaemia can make people feel tired, irritable and less able to concentrate.

Just do not forget the most essential nutrient: water. Approximately 50 to 70 percent of the body is water. Every body cell, tissue, and organ, requires water to function. Just a little lack of water cause tiredness and weakness. Adults need to drink at least 1.5 litres of fluid daily, even more if its hot or they are physically active.

The best is that you to check with your medical practitioner for advice in order to find the cause of your fatigue.
