Does exercise always make you lose weight?

Unless you suddenly take up training for a triathlon, a few trips to the gym will not lead to sudden and miraculous weight loss. For a start, when you exercise you build muscle and muscle weighs more than fat. However, muscle tissue does take up less space so you may find that your clothes begin to feel looser.
