Frequently Asked Questions

Can diabetics eat dried pulses?

Dried pulses are among the foods that have a low glycaemic index, and are recommended for diabetic patients to eat: ingesting this type of carbohydrate helps patients to regulate their glycaemia, avoiding glycaemia and insulin-secretion peaks. Moreover, foods with a low glycaemic index have a beneficial effect on patients’ fasting blood lipid levels.
