Does biotechnology include the technique of cloning plants and animals?
Cloning of plants has been used for decades in many crops, for example all our potato varieties are clones. Cloning, in fact, means making an exact copy of an existing plant. Cloning of animals has been done for research purposes but not for the production of food.
