Frequently Asked Questions

How common is boar taint?

Most EU consumers will never have experienced boar taint because producers in most countries remove boars’ testicles within one week of birth. In countries where removing testicles is not practiced, such as the UK and parts of Spain, boars are sent to market before reaching sexual maturity, reducing the risk of boar taint development. Also, not all consumers are sensitive to boar taint. MORE QUESTIONS
