Frequently Asked Questions

Is the calcium content the same in whole, semi-skimmed and skimmed milk?

Whether whole, semi-skimmed or skimmed, milk always contains the same amount of calcium, approximately 1200 mg per litre. The main differences in the nutritional composition of these types of milk are their lipid (fat) content and the content of fat-soluble vitamins (A and D). Whether whole, semi-skimmed or skimmed, milk remains an excellent source of calcium and of proteins of high nutritional value.
