Často kladené otázky

I am looking for food which can be cooled quickly just by cracking, rubbing or chemically. Do these cooling technologies exist?

Germany

The only food I can imagine to cool quickly on demand would be beverages. But this cooling technology seems to be problematic. Some years ago an US- company developed a so called “chill can” to produce cool drinks in places where refrigerators are not available. This self-cooling beverage container reduces the temperature of a beverage by approximately 30 degrees Fahrenheit in 60-90 seconds. By pressing a button on the bottom, the can and contents are quickly cooled. Though it seems a useful little device, it has been widely criticised because of the environmental consequences of releasing hydrofluorocarbon gas (HFC) into the atmosphere. The HFC gas used to chill the beverage is one of the most powerful man-made greenhouse gases. The can was not on the market. The US-space agency wanted a new device to chill beverages and ice cream, using water evaporation and the natural vacuum of space.
