Legislation

Food safety is a shared responsibility of all actors in the food supply chain, from farm to fork. The European Union has established extensive legislation to outline the responsibility of food producers, suppliers and retailers to help ensure the safety of our food supply. European food regulations are amongst the most stringent in the world and cover all aspects of food production from agriculture, raw materials, transportation, processing, quality management, storage, packaging, and traceability.
