Top level results: Retailer and consumer acceptance of promising novel technologies and collaborative innovation management (RECAPT)

RECAPT (Retailer and Consumer Acceptance of Promising Novel Technologies and Collaborative Innovation Management) is a three year EU funded research project, which aims to support a process that leads to closer collaboration between food scientists, the food industry, retailers and caterers, in order to increase consumers' acceptance of innovative food products and thereby contribute to the global competitiveness of the European food and drink sector. Lars Esbjerg, Executive Project Director of the RECAPT project (2011-2014), describes the objectives and research methods of the RECAPT project in the following interview.

About Lars Esbjerg:

Lars EsbjergLars Esbjerg holds a MSc in International Business Administration and Modern Languages and a PhD in retailer buying. He is associate professor at Department of Business Administration and affiliated with MAPP - Centre for Research on Customer Relations in the Food Sector in Aarhus, Denmark. Lars has studied inter-organisational relations, collaborative innovation and retailer decision-making in the food channel. His research interests are mainly focused on issues related to food retailing and inter-organisational relationships and networks. He has participated in more than 20 research projects and has experience organising research conferences and workshops with practitioners, as well as project management experience from different Danish and European research projects.
