Getting started with social media for scientists and health professionals
About the event
Social media is no longer optional if you want to promote your work, stay connected with peers, or keep up with the latest developments. But where do you start?
This training helps scientists and health professionals take their first steps on social media with confidence and clarity. We focus on the practical foundations: understanding how the main platforms work, choosing the right one for your goals, sharing content effectively, and avoiding common beginner mistakes.
The session also creates space to address questions many experts hesitate to ask, such as: How much time does it really take? What if someone challenges me publicly? How often do I need to post to make it worthwhile?
By the end of the session, participants will feel ready to get started with structure and confidence and will understand how to use social media responsibly and effectively to share science with wider audiences.
